Treatment Q & A

Photo Rejuvenation

Q: What is Photo Rejuvenation?

A: Photo Skin Rejuvenation works by using four specific wavelengths for instant access to photo receptors in order to treat blemishes, pigmentation disorders, redness and inflammation along with photoaging. This unique skin treatment uses specific wavelengths and colors of Light Emitting Diodes to restore skin's cellular activity. These colors of light activate cell receptors causing them to produce collagen. A non-invasive yet effective way to increase the energy levels in the skin.

Q: What is Difference in this and other Laser Light

Treatments?

A: The difference is in the device that generates the light. The light that is emitted is the same in both, but Light Emitting Diodes are able to produce more light over time than a laser by using relatively long wave lengths which are able to penetrate fairly deeply into the skin, even though it uses less energy. All without damaging the outer surface of the skin.

Q: What are the Benefits of this Treatment?

A: I'm Glad you Asked..... Photo Rejuvenation will increase the energy levels in the skin promoting collagen and cell renewal. It has also been known to decrease inflammation and increase wound healing in the skin while reducing bacteria and normalizing oil production in the skin. ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), which carries energy to the cells is increased. (The food and oxygen we take in is converted into ATP, allowing cells to gather nutrients and dispose of waste. So, increasing ATP is always a Very Good Thing!) In addition to increased ATP, it has been shown to stimulate circulation by increasing the formation of new capillaries to replace those that have become damaged. This increase in circulation brings nutrients and oxygen to the skin at a much healthier rate, thus increasing the skin's ability to heal itself.

Okay, so if that isn't enough; Photo Rejuvenation helps with the production of collagen (the protein found in the skin and the most abundant protein found in the body). Collagen production is essential for the health and beauty of the skin - it holds the skin cells together with proper elasticity. So, increasing collagen decreases enlarged pores and superficial scarring. When treating the skin, the lymphatic system gets a nice work out as well. When the lymphatic system is clogged, swelling or inflammation can occur. The diameter of the lymph glands can be increased aiding in proper drainage of excess fluids and proteins that are not carried out by the blood. So by increasing lymphatic drainage one can improve eye puffiness and darkness, hyperpigmentation and breakouts, just to name a few. RNA and DNA which is a necessary component of replacing and correcting cellular damage, like scars and wrinkles, is also increased.

So in short, Photo Rejuvenation is commonly used to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, redness, inflammation, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, scarring, dark circles, eye puffiness and blemishes.

Q: Can Photo Rejuvenation be used with other treatments?

A: Absolutely, although it is powerful enough that it can be used as a treatment on its own, you can maximize the benefits and enhance your treatment by adding Specialty Serums or to any Microdermabrasion, Enzyme Facials or Chemical Peel your doing.

Q: What are the Contraindications?

A:This is NOT RECOMMENDED for those with:

Connective Tissue Disease or Auto-Immune Disorders.

Epileptic Disorder

Currently using Accutane (must be off 1 year)

Fever Blisters or Cold Sores
