Enzyme Medi-Facial

Enzyme Peptide Firming Facial

Q: What is an Enzyme Medi-Facial?

A: This is one of my favorite treatments to give! Enzymes on the skin work to breakdown and digest/dissolve unwanted dead skin cells, leaving the skin with fresh “live” cells on the surface. One of the best things about receiving an enzyme treatment is that they only work on dead skin cells. This makes them safe for all skin types and very well tolerated. Most skin enzymes come from fruit sources such as papaya, pineapple, cranberry, pumpkin, tomatoes, and sometimes from lactase or pepsin.

The skin will look fresh and feel smooth and polished immediately following an enzyme facial. There is no downtime and is safe for all skin types and medical conditions. It is a great option for those clients wanting to do more than a facial. but are unsure of stepping into something more clinical such as a peel or microdermabrasion. I love to do an enzyme medi-facial before an important event, such as a date, wedding, reunion, special gatherings etc. because the skin just glows and looks so fresh.

Contraindications: Fruit or dairy allergies. Mention any medical conditions or treatments received prior to your skin care treatment.

Q: So, what are Enzymes and how will they help your skin?

A: Enzymes are organic substances that sustain life; proteins that act as catalysts, or accelerators, during chemical reactions happening continually throughout the body. Some reactions need to happen quickly, such as the enzymes involved in breaking down big protein and fat molecules into small ones during digestion. However, the enzyme processes working in your skin are not quite as fast as in the gut, but they react at an impressive rate when you realize what their work encompasses. According to American Academy of Dermatology, you have 19,000,000 skin cells per square inch covering 20 square feet of skin across your body, if you are an average adult. Enzymes from natural sources working with the enzymes in and on your skin, can come together in a dramatic dance to revitalize your skin and return a youthful glow and feel to your face, neck or anywhere you want to improve texture or appearance. Enzymes gently dissolve dead skin cells and stimulates cellular turnover.

Q: What are the advantages of Enzyme Peels (Enzymatic Boost)?

A: Enzymes are popular in skincare and anti-aging. The skin is a great storage of enzymes. Recent studies have appointed that enzymes are able to dissolve dead skin cells, creating a glowing and healthy complexion, also to prevent skin damage by struggle with free radicals.

Enzyme peels accelerate the process of skin cell replacement by accelerating the chemical reactions necessary to bring forth newer, plumper cells and to rid the skin of the older, dead cells. We are all familiar with the term exfoliate due to scrubs and loofahs; well, enzyme peels accomplish exfoliation much faster and can loosen and remove dead skin cells, promote younger cells, diminish scars, stretch marks, age spots, fine lines and discoloration. Enzymes can also penetrate the skin to help cleanse pores and improve skin tone and texture.

It is one of the gentlest methods of exfoliations.

Q: What is a Enzyme Peptide Firming Facial?

A:This is not your ordinary enzyme - it's a peptide enzyme that will create dermal warming to the skin. (Expect the skin to be red and maybe warm for up to 4 hours) Dermal heat stimulates the fibroblast to produce collagen. This facial contains no acids, just the enzyme activity and the peptide to build dermal warming to firm the skin. It will also help to kill bacteria, so it is great for acneic skin as well.
